M&G Brake Systems Product Line
M&G set the standard on RV/toad braking systems in 1987 with this brake system. This system fits most towed vehicles made prior to 2018. To confirm that this will fit your towed vehicle, click here. No other supplemental braking system offers the performance and reliability of our original system. This system is comprised of an air cylinder mounted between the master cylinder and the vacuum booster on your towed vehicle.
Up to 600 lbs. of proportional braking pressure can be delivered to your toad's brakes each time you apply the brakes in your coach. The heart of our original braking system is the air cylinder (US patent# 4,756,390). This braking system meets all U.S. and Canadian laws, and the patented air cylinder is made of aircraft-quality 6061 aluminum. Once installed, the only thing you need to tie the braking systems of both vehicles together is a pneumatic line connected from the back of your coach to the front of your towed vehicle.

M&G 2.0 Brake System standardizes the innovation delivered with our original braking system in this "universal fit" solution. The M&G 2.0 fits most towed vehicles made after 2018. This system is comprised of an air cylinder and bracket which are mounted under the hood of the towed vehicle. Up to 100 lbs. of proportional braking pressure can be delivered to your toad's brakes each time you apply the brakes in your coach. Once installed, the only thing you need to tie the braking systems of both vehicles together is a pneumatic line connected from the back of your coach to the front of your towed vehicle.

M&G Brake System for coaches with hydraulic brakes begins with an air cylinder mounted between the master cylinder and vacuum booster on the towed vehicle. A 12-volt air compressor, an air accumulator tank, and a proportioning valve are mounted on the frame of the coach. One air line connects the coach and the towed vehicle – instantly, their braking systems are connected!. This system may use the original M&G Brake System or the M&G 2.0 Brake System – which ever is compatible with your towed vehicle. It includes the Emergency Breakaway Kit. All pricing is the same. M&G Brake System for Coaches with Hydraulic Brakes

M&G Car Brake System for coaches with Hydraulic Brakes
M&G Towed Vehicle Breakaway Kit provides automatic braking of your towed vehicle should your vehicle unexpectedly detach from your RV while traveling. This brake works only with vehicles equipped with M&G Braking Systems. This system consists of three basic parts. (A) small air tank measuring 2” in diameter X 8” long, (B) diverter valve, and (C) trip switch. All of these items will be located on the towed vehicle. The air tank is pressurized by applying the RV brakes fully, for two seconds. This should be done before each day's travel. In the event the towed vehicle should become detached from the coach, a small wire cable attached to the rear of the coach closes the trip switch. The trip switch activates the control valve which allows the air pressure from the small air tank to flow to the air cylinder, applying the brakes on the towed vehicle. This system meets or exceeds all known laws or regulations.

M&G Towed Vehicle Breakaway Kit
For Motor coaches with Air Over Hydraulic Brakes, the compressor is not needed. This coach will utilize its own air pressure to operate the M&G Brake System. A proportioning valve will be supplied to control the air pressure sent to the braking system by sensing hydraulic pressure.
